This long film is dedicated to Nicholas and Helena Roerich. It reveals their shared philosophy of cosmic reality and the scope of their massive contributions in bringing a new cosmic consciousness on our planet. In 2017 I went on a pilgrimage to their home in the high mountains of Himalaya in northern India, spending three days in what is now a museum.
This group of babushka’s (grandmothers) carry memories and songs from generations of women. This is real Her-story.

He also reminds us that true awakening cannot be imposed from the outside, but must arise from within when we are ready to embrace it.
Ekaterina Shelehov is a Slavic woman whose singing captures the essence of primal femininity, one whose soul is deeply connected to the world of Nature. Listening to her awakens something from the past that is still alive in my bones.
This grandmother’s transmission of something ancient to her granddaughter made me wish I’d had such a grandmother, one whose memory I could carry and pass on to my daughter. Such things are lost in the West.

This group of women have gathered from different Slavic countries to sing songs that were born in primeval times and passed down through the Slavic culture by women for thousands of years. Their singing is a living testimony of Her-story, one that touches the soul of every sensitive person.
This is a recording of video that I did online shortly after the war began in Ukraine in 2022. My long-time colleague in Ukraine, Dr. Valentina Bondarovskaya, told me many times, “How Ukraine goes is how the world will go.” In 1991 I began watching Ukraine grow as a country, reclaiming its language and ancient archetypal feminine roots.
